KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu valley, the political, commercial & cultural hubs of Nepal is the first stop for the majority of visitors to the country. Once a separate Kingdom itself contains three main cities, Kathmandu – Patan – Bhaktapur. Each of them holds an artistic exposition of graceful temples, elegant palaces, brick paved courtyards & quaint streets. The valley covers an area of 218sq. miles & situated at an altitude of 1336m above the sea level. As the valley is full of interest both historically & culturally, you are suggested to spend at least 2 days in Kathmandu for sightseeing tour.
POKHARA: If the Kathmandu is full of history & cultural venue of Nepal then Pokhara is a place of remarkable natural beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake & the magnificent view of fish tailed summit of Machhapuchhare at 6977m will be a rewarding sight. At an elevation of lower than Kathmandu, it has a much more tropical feet to it, a fact well appreciated by the beautiful diversity of flowers which prosper in its environs. Indeed, the valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forests, gushing rivers, emerald lakes. Pokhara can be reached in 30 minutes by domestic flight & approximately 6 hours by car/bus.
